CURRENT PROJECT
Entergy Indian Point Heavy Haul Path Construction
This project consists of constructing a concrete roadway capable of handling the transportation of spent fuel rods from IP3 FSB to IP2 FSB. This is Darlind's first venture into the Nuclear Energy Sector.
Darlind's scope of work consists of layout, building temporary roads to keep the plant in service, removal of existing asphalt, excavation and backfill, formwork for the 13" thick haul path and installation of 300 tons of reinforcing steel. When that work is done we will be placing and finishing 1300 cubic yards of 5500 psi concrete. After the stripping and curing of concrete Darlind will build asphalt shoulders to the haul path elevation for ease and transition of both pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
The project is slated to start in early May, 2010 and be completed by September, 2011.
